Well this has to mean something if we have an exact date. Well, according to multiple sources, Apple’s iTab is set to be announced on January 19, 2010 during a press event, and then launch in June (just like the iPhone’s initial introduction).
Sources also say that Apple’s tablet has 7x the touchable surface area as the iPhone does, as of now. Also, its screen is supposed to be at a very high resolution.
It will also come in two configurations, one will have 3G built in (sources do not indicate whether AT&T or Verizon will have the tablet’s 3G.) The Second is supposed to be Wi-Fi only. Sort of like a big iPod touch.
More details suggest that it will be an effort to completely replace physical books and magazines, and move everything into the digital age.
Now onto one of the killer parts of this story, the iTab will run the iPhone OS. It will, of course, be a revamped version of the iPhone OS, but iPhone OS nonetheless.
Now, sources go on to say that there is a 20% chance that Steve Jobs will, once again, kill the tablet. As some of you may know, Steve Jobs has already killed it twice in Apple’s history.
Now onto some interesting information, originally the Apple tablet had a 7 inch screen, but was “deemed too small, and killed off and replaced with a larger screen”. Now, the current prototype is set to have a 10.7 inch screen!
Apple is aiming to market the iTab as a better media experience that any old computer or even the iPhone or iPod touch!
To me, this is a true as they come. I 100% believe this, this is just too exact and too detailed to be another old hoax.
I will definitely be purchasing this in June if its really what I am imagining it to be. I will keep you all updated as more detailed leaks come in.
good now just give me a video on how to swap the 3G card with something a lil more useful, like tmobile then ill be extremely happy….

im not going to get excited about this because when i did about the ipod touch 3g i got disappointed. i am happy to hear it tho and will definitely get on if its true

Chewie: I agree. And disagree. I was right about the iPod touch G3. It was destined to have a camera, but something went wrong at the last minute with it. There’s tons of proof that says not only I, but all of the media, was right on this.
I am more angry than you guys, trust me. I was beating myself up for a long time over that, because I preached this so long, and to be wrong at the last minute, it really pissed me off.
I kina knew something was going to happen when I recieved reports of Apple technical difficulties about 48 hours before the show.
That’s good that you guys are putting something out like that thank you, ill crash my other ipod and get that one because i think the ipod shouldve had a camera in the first place because that would be cool instead of the ipod nano having one now that is crazy…. have fun trying to get that out!!!!!
