Breaking News: Leaked Apple Memo Details Plan To “Bring AT&T’s Data Network To It’s Knees”

December 15th, 2009 by Alan Vazquez · 25 Comments

Breaking news arriving to us here at Limited Edition iPhone. It seems that a leaked (not confirmed) memo from Apple which was exposed by Fake Steve Jobs has detailed a plot to attack AT&T. The memo details an all out, country wide cyber attack to AT&T on December 18, 2009 at exactly 12pm Pacific TIme.

According to the memo, it seems that this plot will be an effort to bring down AT&T’s data network by telling all iPhone customers that are on AT&T to use their most data intensive applications at once and “bring ATAT’s data network to it’s knees”.

Here’s the leaked memo:

Subject: Operation Chokehold
On Friday, December 18, at noon Pacific time, we will attempt to overwhelm the AT&T data network and bring it to its knees. The goal is to have every iPhone user (or as many as we can) turn on a data intensive app and run that app for one solid hour. Send the message to AT&T that we are sick of their substandard network and sick of their abusive comments. The idea is we’ll create a digital flash mob. We’re calling it in Operation Chokehold. Join us and speak truth to power!

Now AT&T has responded by saying this:

There is nothing amusing about advocating that customers attempt to deliberately degrade service on a network that provides critical communications services for more than 80 million customers. We know that the vast majority of customers will see this action for what it is: an irresponsible and pointless scheme

So if you want to show AT&T who’s boss, go ahead. No one is going to do anything to you. Millions will be doing this simultaneously. AT&T can’t do anything to stop this. AT&T’s network WILL go down on Friday.

So expect this to be world news, or atleast nationwide news.

This is also very dangerous. Us iPhone users could be portrayed as bad people, or even as extreme as terrorists. This isn’t true. The iPhone users on AT&T are fed up with AT&T  not doing anything to make their network better. They pay about $100 a month and still AT&T doesn’t do anything to make their network better.

This will also be a major turning point for Apple, AT&T, and us here in the iPhone community if this goes as planned. We will be here covering the news if anything is to happen or if this goes as planned.

AT&T was warned…

Didn’t the network go down when MMS was released and that happened just from everyone doing what they wanted to do without anyone telling them so this is going to be even worse cuz it’s like when u tell a kid not to do something they get tempted and end up doing it anyways lol.

    truehybridx

  • 21

    truehybridx

you should be on any kinda internet for att lol, 3g or edge, just whatever you can use… USE IT!!!

  • 22

    DC

Yeah shame I have tmobile too, but off I had AT&T I would do it!

  • 23

    TMAN

One thing I don’t understand tho is that the so called “Unlimited” plan for AT&T is not even unlimited… It has a 5GB cap. I am pretty damn sure of this too. So why would AT&T limit the people that use the most bandwidth when they already supposedly limit everyone to 5GB?

  • 24

    truehybridx

that some gay crap tmobile has a 10gb cap…. just not 3G but whatever lol
