Have you seen this error before “The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction.”
T-Mobile has apparently changed their MMS settings and now some iPhones are unable to get MMS with out a simple hack found in Cydia. To fix this problem, all you need to do is install the package “TMobile US Postpaid Flexpaid Legacy” Then reboot your iPhone. Now your MMS is working again.

My friend was having this problem. Now I can be a Hero and fix it for her. >:) Thanks man.

Hello to All,
I was legally purchased my iPhone 3GS in Europe from Tmobile and this one is a Legally Unlocked by Appel for all carriers.
Now I’m living in the USA and i’m using US T-mobile and everything works just fine except 3G and receiving MMS.
I can send MMS to anyone to any carrier even to myself, but when anyone send me a MMS i does not receive it but i get error message :
“The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction”
Is there someone who may help me and advise me what i can do to fix this issue with incoming MMS?
I like to add my iPhone 3GS is not JAILBRAKED, HACKED, i does not have CYDIA, etc…. It’s Legally Unlocked by Apple.

Hi Adventurer, where able to find the correct settings. I too have a factory unlocked iphone (3gs 32gb) i cannot receive mms. Anything information that you can provide me will be helpful. Thank you.
Hi Tammy,
Unfortunately, I do not know if anything what I learned will help, because so far nothing helped me, and I still have the same problem and I can not received MMS (just the error msg).
For past few weeks, a months, I spent hours and hours talking on the phone with my USA
T-Mobile carrier here in the U.S. and with
T-Mobile in Europe where I bought my iPhone, with Apple’s iPhone support here in the U.S. and so far nobody could help me.
People from T-Mobile and AT & T business advise me to unlock my phone as jallbraik
but I do not know how to do it and I do not want to lose any data, and future updates, etc. …
If know something about this please let me know or anyone who may help with it
See below, and there are two emails from
T-Mobile tech support for iPhone Consumers. here in USA.
It may help you or others but it does not help me and I still hope…..lol
If you will find anything what may help me please let me know and I would be grateful

NOTE: This setup is only for the iPhone 3G and 3GS with the 3.0 firmware update, and for 2G iPhones for which the “Enable MMS 2G iPhone” enhancement available through Cydia has been installed.
NOTE: The 3.0 firmware update alone does not enable MMS functionality for 2G iPhones. Both 2G iPhones and 3G iPhones with firmware versions prior to the 3.0 firmware will require a third party MMS enhancement.

Please advise the customer that Cydia is a “use at your own risk” program. Legacy is a third-party application provided by Cydia and should only be applied with the customer’s consent. This solution is not supported by T-Mobile or the manufacturer of the iPhone. While we are able to provide limited support for this issue, T-Mobile is unable to provide support outside of this document. T-Mobile settings will not impair the normal functionality of this device.
Go into SETTINGS
Go into GENERAL
Go into NETWORK
Make sure Data Roaming is ON
Make sure 3G is OFF (note if customer on device call will drop. Instruct them to go back after setup)
Go into CELLULAR DATA NETWORK
Set Cellular Data APN and MMS APN to WAP.VOICESTREAM.COM
***VERIFY that all other settings in Cellular data network are BLANK!***
Press HOME KEY (hardware button on front of iPhone)
Press on CYDIA
After data loads select SEARCH (located on the bottom right)
Type LEGACY into the search box
Select the first item on the top. Should say TMOBILE POST PAID…
INSTALL
CONFIRM
RETURN TO CYDIA (Cydia may need to reload data. Wait for it to complete)
Press HOME KEY
Turn iPhone off.
Turn iPhone ON
Test.

Dude YOU rock. Thanks for the RIGHT info. I am running a 3G 8gig firmware 3.1.2, jailbroken and unlocked with Blackra1n. It works flawless now no problems at all. It’s nice to have a fully functional iPhone again. Once again, THANKS ALOT!!!!!
I have a factory unlcoked iPhone 4 which I purchased from Canada for use in the U.S. with T-Mobile. I am able to send MMS fine, but am unable to receive MMS. Is the only way this can be fixed is if I run the jailbreak to get Cydia and install the Legacy fix? I am trying to avoid jailbreaking the phone… does anyone know if there is a fix besides Legacy?
Can someone post the settings that work please? TMOBILE POST PAID is no longer available via cydia
The fix is here: http://leimobile.com/t-mobile-iphone-mms-settings-for-ios-4/
