Well guys, it was bound to happen. Google Maps now has ads! Well, it’s no surprise that Google wants to squeeze as much revenue as they can and a casual addition of an ad within a search will definitely help.

Now, when I was informed of this, I didn’t believe it, and it took me a few searches to find some ads for screenshots, but I found them using the search term “Department Store”.

So there you go guys. I also expect Apple to start doing this with their mewly aquired maps company. I expect Apple to either completely replace Google or to use their new company’s features along with Google’s.

Its very difficult to predict what will happen here as Apple both needs and doesn’t want Google on the iPhone. It will especially be very difficult to know due to their recent fights.
