Jerome: I agree. I really do hope that the iPhone Dev Team will jailbreak the new iPhone 3G. It would be a shame if iPhone jailbreaking and unlocking would be no more.

Peter: Also, in regards to the Installer app being replaced by the App Store. I don’t really agree with you on that one. The reason is that, we won’t see the same creativity as we are seeing now with the installer.app. As in, most of the apps will look very much alike. Plus there is the matter of the “Store” part. That is the part that is going to suck. I don’t want to pay for applications , when I can get similar applications completely free in Installer.

Peter: Are you in Italy? What country are you in? The iPhone 3G isn’t free, or cheaper for that matter, it is subsidized. As in, the iPhone 3G may look cheap (or free, depending on where you live) but it really isn’t, you will have to pay more for the monthly plans. The carrier’s rates will be much higher, so in essence, you are really paying for an iPhone that is more expensive than the current iPhone. The carrier’s just spread the true cost of the iPhone 3G over a 2 (or 3) year period.

I hate the AT&T Contract, but I love the iPhone! One day soon, immediately after the 3G release, hackers can surely develop an unlocking software for that..

I don`t get? Why unlocking the thing if it will be free? Or how do you think Apple will manage the “Free” phones like from Vodafone Italy, where the phone is going to be sold for 499€ without contract. That phone MUST be fre!

No more unlocking necessary..

Ang for jailbreaking? Why? Instead of Installer we will have the Appstore..
