Hey guys. Well today is the big day! Project: yellowsn0w will be distributed to everyone via Cydia. Now, if only it were that easy. This is just a mini contest to keep you guys entertained until you guys have unlocked iPhone 3Gs. Let’s see who’s smart… I have a little code for you:
01110110
01110100
01100001
01100010
01100101
01110010
00100000
00110110
00110001
00110000
00110110
00110000
00110001
00110111
00110100
00100000
For all of those saying “WTF?!” I’ll give you a hint. Now, please don’t think you’ve solved it 100% if you look at the hint. There are two parts to this. If any of you can decode it, and tell us what this code means, and prove to us how you know this, you’ll win a little prize. So good luck! First one to get it wins. If nobody gets it, then no prize will be given. It’s just that simple. Alright guys, I’ll talk to you guys later. Happy New Year to everyone!

the binary translation of the post converts to:
vtaber 61060174
vtaber is the result of a ROT13 cipher on the word ignore. ROT13 is used on many forums as a way of hiding words. You simply take the letter and find its partner 13 letters further into the alphabet.
61060174 is a post entry on the iPhone Dev Team Blog. It is the post in which the Dev Team stressed not to do a update to 2.2 with a stock IPSW or you may not be able to unlock the 3G baseband. See: http://blog.iphone-dev.org/post/61060174
My assumption is that the Dev Team is telling us to ignore the whole thing around not being able to unlock the 2.2 baseband and that everyone will be able to unlock their 3G iPhones tomorrow without any worry of whether they updated to 2.2 through iTunes.
