Allan you have to wait until the Dev Team comes out with the jailbreak and unlock for 3.0. This should be in a couple of hours.

Is there a way to go back to the way I had it where it was unlocked before installing the 3.0 update? Using a different carrier other than AT&T.

I'm new to this iPhone thing so that is why I'm here for some help. I got an unlocked 1st gen 8GB iPhone which was working great with no problems. When the new 3.0 update came out, I hesitated on updating the iphone fearing that it would mess up somehow and it did. After having the 3.0 update loaded, the iphone says it has to be hooked up to iTunes. Then iTunes gives me a message saying: "The sim card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible sim cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the sim card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier's store to receive a replacement sim card."

Any help would be much appreciated.
