Java Coming To The iPhone and iPod Touch

Sun announced that they are developing a Java Virtual Machine for Apple’s iPhone with the newly released Software Development Kit (SDK). Apple had not shown interest in enabling Java to run on the iPhone, but Sun plans to to do the job itself no that Apple has released the SDK.With a working version of Java on the iPhone we will see many games as well as enterprise applications such as ERP and CRM

    No effin way! Sweet. I hope that they suceed in convincing apple to put up their app on the store.

    Yeah, but they are porting Java ME, which is a crippled version of Java.
    Can’t see why – IPod touch can easily support the standard Java.
