Mophie Juice Pack

Mophie has created the ultimate solution to the iPhone’s battery problem. If your iPhone is having trouble making it the entire day, the Mophie Juice Pack is your solution. Unlike the iPowerRush, that uses standard batteries, the Juice Pack is rechargeable. You are able to recharge the juice pack instead of buying a bunch of batteries.

The Juice Pack is perfect if you need to charge your phone and do not want to leave it plugged into your computer or an outlet. I am always on the go and do not have time during the day to leave my phone somewhere to charge it. The Juice pack lets me extend the battery of my phone while I am on the go.

The Mophie Juice Pack has LED indicators on the back letting you know how much battery power is left. Another great feature is that you can recharge it with your standard iPod or iPhone USB cable.

The only real negatives of the Juice Pack is that it does make your phone a bit bulkier. I like to keep my phone in my pocket and the Juice Pack definitely adds some weight and bulk. Another issue that I had was that the USB cable plugs in upside down. Initially I had trouble getting it plugged in but realized that it needed to be reversed.

Overall I would rate the Mophie Juice Pack 5 out of 5 stars. I should have purchased this accessory sooner because it is so handy when you are on the go and need that extra Juice to keep your iPhone alive. Pricing may be a little high for some, but the time you save makes up for it.

I definitely need something like this ! My new 3G iPhone barely makes it through the day before I get the red low battery warning !!! Not sure why the battery on the 3G has a lot less capacity than the first gen iPhones ?!?

John: The reason for this is that the iPhone 3G uses (obviously) a 3G chip. Now, 3G takes up a lot of power to use due to it’s super amount of speed. So, if you have 3G enabled all the time, your battery will constantly be wasted. I suggest (If you are going to have the iPhone in sleep mode) before doing that I suggest, turning “Enable 3G” off, turning “Location Services” off, and turning “Push” off. Your battery life should increase dramatically.

I have seen an increase in battery life since turning 3G off while at work. A strong EDGE signal works pretty good too 🙂

    Thanks Alan V.

Yep you’re welcome. Also “Location Services” takes up a whole lot of battery as well. You might want to consider turning that off as well. (Or at least when you are not using it) 😀

oh, I thought it was only being used whe I ran Google Maps!

I’ll turn it off now and see what happens.

yet again, thank you Alan !

Nope, it is constantly checking your location. And your welcome! 😀
