Yes everyone, it was anticipated and well worth the less than 24 hour wait, WinPwn has been optimized for firmware 2.0.1! Not only that but it has way more to offer, it also has: *Root Partition Resize support*Installer 4 support as well as the new Cydia*New support for Windows XP/Vista both 32 and 64 bit OS There are some things that you should be aware of though:Notes:*You MUST do a full uninstall of winpwn before installing the new version *Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes ( Currently 7.7) *WinPwn uses 300MB of ram at peak due to the ipsw being extracted in memory *You must first click browse and load an IPSW to use WinPwn (i thought this was clear) *For 2.0 only the *5A347_Restore.ipsw files are valid. The 345 image will not work *If you see Failed to load image catalog/payload catalog, this is fine and won’t cause problems *If you already have service with AT&T do not activate or install Youtube Fix Also there is a tutorial on how to Pwn 2.0.1 on Windows just follow these steps at bigboss’ site. Don’t worry everyone, WinPwn 2.5 will arrive soon with the brand new user interface and all goodness. CMW has also stated that the next release of WinPwn will have both an automatic updater as well as a DFU helper/Wizard. You can download the new WinPwn here or here. i run into problem error 6 everytime i try and i kno im in DFU mode but ugh!!!!
truehybridx: Look man, I have never had to put it into DFU for Pwning. I just connect it, let iTunes recognize it reularly, then I just shift (PC) (Alt for Mac) click restore and bam. I am running 2.0.1 pwned without ever having to do the DFU mode thing. If the method that I just now told you doesn’t work, then do this:
1) turn off iPhone/iPod touch
2) hold down the homebutton
3) while holding down the home button, connect the USB cable to it
4) let iTunes recognize as Restore mode (something should be on your iPhone/iPod touch’s screen) (The restore logo that Pwnage or Winpwn gave you)
5) just shift click restore
6) choose the custom 2.0.1 file and restore
That’s what I do. If you need more help, just ask.
oh fun so i guess i should go n just download the 2.0.1 fw and just use that instead of 2.0
truehybridx: Dude, you can what whatever you want. I’m just saying. 2.0.1 is less glitchy than 2.0, but there are no major changes. If you feel that strongly about it, wait until 2.1 rolls around in September or October.

My power went out while I was trying to restore back into a new pwned 2.0.1 and now I’m in DFU mode. Traffic? Well actually yes, for some reason these past 3 days have been slow as a mo-fo, but usually we get a pretty good amount of traffic. What you don’t see is a lot of commenting, but we do get a lot of people that visit us. Mabe the slowness is because school is starting soon world wide, so less kids online.
