Yes, even better news than iTunes 7.7. Firmware 2.0 has landed. Well, not officially, many people (including me) have started dissecting iTunes and have found and confirmed that firmware 2.0 is now on Apple’s servers, you can download it in an unofficial link here. Everyone that has downloaded this and installed it on their iPhone have been reporting great success. Also, many are claiming that some of the Mail features are buggy. The release is 5A347. The last version that was allegedly the “master gold” version was 5A345, so saying this I am still advising each and everyone of you to be careful. DO NOT INSTALL IT ON A JAILBROKEN OR UNLOCKED IPHONE!!! It will (most likely) permanently terminate it. iPod Touch users (like me too) we will have to wait until official release. As some have tried to install 2.0 but have failed. Apparently, Apple is still finishing their firmware to sell to all of us suckers. (I want this jailbroken so that I don’t have to pay $10 for the App Store and $20 for the iPhone apps! Come on iPhone Dev Team! Less than 1 week for a jailbreak! I’m counting on you guys!) The App Store is working ! So if you don’t want to wait a few more hours and you have AT&T, go ahead and enjoy. 🙂
