have a iphone with 1.1.2 firmware unlocked with turbo sim type card, using tmobile and everything was working great with your tmobile and the youtube hack when i installed the 1.1.3 jailbreak that came out yesterday everything worked except the tmobile tzones hack , i installed the edge network services patch but it still wont work ….any ideas???ap.voicestream.com)
sir, i unlocked my iphone now and when i use our local sim here in trinidad and tobago, i cant dial the number right away thru PHONE icon, when i tap the first number, the icon will gone. i cant really use the PHONE icon. what will im going to install to use this icon. and so with my TEXT icon. the same problem. hope your reply ASAP. thanks and more power.

I’m new to this iPhone thing so that is why I’m here for some help. I got an unlocked 1st gen 8GB iPhone which was working great with no problems. When the new 3.0 update came out, I hesitated on updating the iphone fearing that it would mess up somehow and it did. After having the 3.0 update loaded, the iphone says it has to be hooked up to iTunes. Then iTunes gives me a message saying: “The sim card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported. Only compatible sim cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the sim card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier’s store to receive a replacement sim card.”
Any help would be much appreciated.
Is there a way to go back to the way I had it where it was unlocked before installing the 3.0 update? Using a different carrier other than AT&T.
Allan you have to wait until the Dev Team comes out with the jailbreak and unlock for 3.0. This should be in a couple of hours.
Is there a 3.0 jailbreak for PC yet? Just asking cuz I saw in the recent entries that there is for MAC owners.
I have a jailbroken 3G iPhone that I can not use any more. The problem is I started using my blackberry again and after a few months when I went back to the iPhone, I had forgotten the password I used to lock it. After trying several times it will not let me try any more passwords and says I have to unlock via iTunes…. HOWEVER, it is locked and can’t do it that way either … Can anyone help???
Is there a way to just get it back to default settings and start from step one??

Keith you have to restore the phone in iTunes.
I tried in iTunes but it would not do it ….. Is there any other way/approach to getting the iPhone back to default settings?
