Hey guys, today Apple has announced that all new applications (and updates) submitted to the iTunes App Store must be 100% compatible with iPhone OS 3.0! So what does this mean for everyone? Well, they may have given us some clues as to whats going to happen in the comming weeks.

As you all know, iPhone OS 3.o beta 5 was released to developers on May 6th (1 week ahead of schedule), now as some of you may know, when iPhone OS 2.0 was being developed, Apple released 9 betas before the release of 2.0

(However, on a side note, the final 2.0 firmware was garbage and was the worst release in the history of Apple, iPhone OS 2.0 beta 1-6 were way more stable than the final release, they were, to me, as stable as 2.2.1.)

So this just means to me that iPhone OS 3.0 may be released sooner than we all thought. Possibly on June 8th! (Accoring to my sources and calculations, it could come as late as July 1st)
