What?! Is what you all have in mind right now. Well its true. A couple of weeks ago T-Mobile did a “system update” and it caused some major issues with unlocked iPhone users (on T-Mobile USA).
Some of the issues include, “blank text messages from the future” and a “flurry of texts” would arrive whenever a voicemail was received. To add insult to injury, the text-messages were costing the user some money, as he/she didn’t have an unlimited texting plan.
So what would any other company have done? I think they would have given the “oh really… thats too damn bad” speech. Well, T-Mobile actually took action and supported the unlocked iPhones.
They told customers that they would “fix this as soon as possible…6 months at max”, well, I assume many customers believed that they were just BS-ing them, well T-Mobile fixed this issue in 3 days.
Incredible! So it seems T-Mobile does care about its customers in a way that may cost them in the future by a possible lawsuit. Knowing AT&T, they might be considering a lawsuit, due to the fact that they might be infringing on Apple and AT&T’s exclusive contract.
We will just have to wait and see…
