Today, Apple has filed for a patent to incorporate an “At A Glance” option to the iPhone and iPod touch. As of this moment you cannot do this on the iPhone. Rather, you will receive a notification and then be prompted to unlock the phone. Doing so will then cause the notifications to disappear. This sucks if you are in a major rush. But now this “completely original idea that is totally Apple’s (ahem) “intelliscreen.”

Anyways, this new feature might get added to the next firmware release of the iPhone and iPod touch, along with the 3rd party push notification service. Remember that it was “pulled for further development” so we might see this integrated in the next firmware update. Well, we will just have to wait and see…
