The 3.0 firmware for the iPhone is right around the corner. Will it have copy and paste? Clippy is a jailbroken app that works very well but most of us would like something official from Apple. There are rumors that the 3.0 firmware will have MMS support as well as Bluetooth/USB data tethering, which can already be done with the jailbroken app PDAnet. As we here more here at Limited Edition iPhone we will keep you posted with the new features of the 3.0 firmware.

FWIW they have not stated when the 3.0 update will be out. March 17th is the day for a sneak peak from Apple of what 3.0 will have. One would think it is likely we will see 3.0 & possibly a hardware revision together sometime this summer.

well just to be nice they have to come out with 3.0 for the other two iphones as well as the new iphone, but whats up with releasing a new iphone every year… apple just gets pwned in the end
funny thing is apple is falling behind in the feature requests for their own product…. AGAIN!! lol

It’s going to be harder to break this one(pwn it) but we will see what they can do π
Pyrofallout // Mar 14, 2009 at 6:24 PM
really? someone who works at Apple gave you some insider knowledge that this one is gonna be hard to PWN! π
Dev team pwns faces and will rip 3.0 apart like always because they are just straight baller like that!

Get a security lock when turning on the phone like a Sim pin must be entered to fully turn the phone on if code is incorrect after 3 tries the phone goes into total lock down.

Bring the pic texting to the iphone.
THX // Mar 15, 2009 at 1:49 PM
problem is if they bring pic messaging to it itll probably make it more difficult for SwirlyMMS to work for nonATT users
Brad // Mar 30, 2009 at 6:08 PM
They really should come up with MMS for the pic texting cuz every one likes to send pictures in text. So lets bring that! Every provider has it Why Not?? Its fun and nice to see where you are at nice places.

Do you not know that they have already announced all this stuff?
Bradley Zepik // Mar 30, 2009 at 7:43 PM
Sorry Do you know off all the things they got coming so far. If so please let me know. Also are they going to get a security lock for the phone on one of my previous messages? That would be really great if they could get that too.

I’m not gonna post a link cause it will have to be approved to show up.
Just Google “iphone 3.0” and the first result is a link to the iPhone 3.0 preview on the Apple site.

I knew you guys had a write up on it somewhere. π
Was in a hurry and on the way out the door.
Brad the only thing you should note from that list is that AD2P Stereo Bluetooth and MMS Messaging will NOT work on 2G iPhones. Only 3G
Alan Vazquez // Mar 31, 2009 at 9:34 AM
Pyrofallout, yeah man. Its all good. People
should also download the keynote from iTunes. Look for the “Apple Keynotes” podcast, and download it.
I am currently running iPhone OS 3.0 beat 1 on my iPod touch 2G, so I will post a full review with screenshots for you guys so you can get a better look. I might even make a video as well so you guys can see 3.0 in action.

Are the iphone unlocking web sites safe? and witch ones are the best?
Brad // May 27, 2009 at 2:02 PM
What a nice technology phone the iphone is but such a good phone why doesn’t it have text forwarding and had the MMS on this already on it when it came out. It’s sad they don’t carry the technology over and just add new technology when it comes out.
