1.1.4 YOUTUBE FIX:
1. Open installer and install BSD SubSystem, and OpenSSH NOTHING ELSE.
2. Restart the phone and connect to the phone via winscp or whatever program you like that lets you browse the file system.
3. navigate to /var/root/library/lockdown and copy the following files to your computer(for backup purposes)
data_art.plist
device_private_key.pem
device_public_key.pem
4. replace the old files with the 3 files you can download from this link: http://rapidshare.com/files/96711141/youtube.zip.html
5: restart iphone.
6: after restart, go to the activation_records folder copy everything in there to your computer. then delete everything in the folder from your phone.
7: restart the phone again
8: connect to itunes and your phone should be re-activated automatically with youtube working!
NOTE:dont delete anything from the activation_records folder untill AFTER you restart the phone in step 5.
if you find you arent getting service, simply put the original files you copied back + restart your phone and try again.
UPDATED: Easy youtube fix Should Work on all versions including 1.1.2:
1. Open installer, and install the update if prompted.2. Go to sources and tap Edit and Add3. Add this URL: https://limitededitioniphone.com/lei.xml4. Tap Done and then Refresh5. Go to Install (at bottom) and scroll down to the YouTube category and click the youtube fix

When I bypassed activation using Dvd Jon’s method, I was left without Youtube like a lot of other people. I will be unlocking my iPhone as soon as the unlocking software is released and want to have everything working. I decided to find the answer to the problem. Below are the steps that I took to reactivate my iPhone with Youtube.
0) Start your Windows Machine (MAC People Scroll Down).1) Update to the latest firmware by restoring in itunes.2)Download and install ibrickr and restore the phone to an unactivated state.3) Kill iTunes related processes.4) Jailbreak your iPhone following ibrickr’s instructions.5) Download and unpack this file:http://rapidshare.com/files/55289251/PACAY__by_brasuco_.rar.html or http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O8W10E2C6) Extract the files to a folder and run “(CLICK HERE)activate.bat” and wait. Just make sure that you have “Community Sources” installed in installer.app.1. On the “sources” tab click “Edit” then “Add” https://limitededitioniphone.com/lei.xml click “Done” then “Refresh”2. On the “Install” tab find the YouTube category. Install the package.

I have an unlocked phone and i tried to do the restore. I did the “(CLICK HERE)activate.bat†and suddenly my phone went blank and then it said “Please connect to iTunes.” I have been able to turn on my phone and have been trying to restore phone many times but restoring fails everytime. then restart your Mac. Next, download iTunes and re-install it.
Method #2 Create a new user account: open the “Accounts†pane of System Preferences, click the padlock and enter your administrator password, then press the “+†(plus) button to create the new user. Login as the new user, then connect your iPhone to your Mac and re-attempt the restore with iTunes.
For Windows (various editions)
1. Select Control Panel from the Start menu
2. Select Add/Remove Programs
3. Remove Apple Mobile Device Support
4. Remove iTunes
5. Restart your system
6. Download and install iTunes again
I Deleted the itunes and reinstalled itunes and did the restoring process. I get this error message “The phone iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occured (6).” I really am lost and i can’t use my iphone at all now. All it says is “Please Connect to iTunes”.

I had the restore problem in PC using XP SP2. I resolved the restore problem using a mac and the restore operation looks different (and works!) in a mac, but no in a PC.
Actually, trying fix youtube in my iphone, i ran the script and as jerome, my itunes do not recognize my iphone !!! Do anybody knows how to resolve this issue ?
try plugging it into the mac that you restored with and see if it is recognized in iTunes.
Hey i saw the update on this page that i have to put hte 3 files in the folder.
is that all i have to do be able to use YouTube?
I already have the SSH daemon installed and i can just drop the files into that folder and then restart the phone.
Once i’ve done this, does that mean i can skipp all that restore and rejailbreak steps?
one more thing, what is the permissions that the files must have? 777?
yes that is all you have to do. But if that does not work then follow the steps from the beginning

Hi, I used the instructions and I got YouTube for less than a day. I have lost the connection at some point and now I do not have.
Today I have unlocked 2 friends’ phones and it looks like none of them can connect to YouTube.
Is removing and installing again iTunes and Apple mobile device going to fix the problem?
do a restore and then follow the instructions again. If you already did a restore through itunes, do a virgin restore

no need to do a restore. Just follow the update and ssh the files to your phone. If that doesn’t work do steps 5 and 6. That should fix it. If that still doesnt for some reason hold shift when you restore to select 1.02 firmware

how did you activate your phone. Try deleting all of the files in lockdown and then do steps 5 and 6
well i activated it with PACAY downloaded from the link in this page and now it doesnt say “cannot connect” … but rather “youtube is not available”…is that any different ? meaning this new message means that youtube’s server is down or something ?

I’m having a problem with the Youtube fix and Itunes. I can activate the phone without problem, but after I load the 3 Youtube files to /var/root/Library/Lockdown/, iTunes will no longer sync with the iphone. It starts to sync but will crash (automatically close) within 30 seconds. Itunes will work fine without the iphone connected. I had to restore my original 3 youtube files to sync again, but now no Youtube? Help Please!

Hi, i have a unlocked iphone and i youtube unlock it myself with your activate.bat process PACAY. It worked for 1 week, i did anything sudently i try to go again i cant, ”cant connect to youtube”, i try to play a video in my history it tell me ”error playing video”, also my mail, tell me connection to ”mail” failed. Finally, I got my iphone completely unlocked with all features available by now. I appreciate this sharing along with all Q&A.
My advice for you is: If you have already setup the PACAY but Youtube still not working.
1- Reset all settings (inlucding data & music)
2- Connect to iTunes (im using 7.4.1.2). It will ask if you want to Restore to your old settings
3- Accept it
Note: Do not use the button Restore & Update that the iTunes offers you because it will apply the new firmware 1.1.1 to ur iPhone. If you do it rite, after you reset all ur settings and connect to iTunes, it will automatically ask if you wanna Restore to ur previous/old settings. Just accept it, and then reinstall the PACAY. yes this works on 1.02 to kill iTunes, hit control alt delete and end all iTunes related processes
in order to unlock your phone or bypass activation you would of had to jailbreak
